Elaine Shen is a Fixed Income Strategist on the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team within BlackRock’s Global Fixed Income platform. As a strategist on the portfolio management team, Elaine is responsible for building fixed income model portfolios and portfolio optimizations for clients and prospects, as well as ad-hoc market research in response to client inquiries. Elaine is also responsible for leading the US FIG team’s ESG integration efforts and produces the FIG Quarterly Green Bond Market Update.

Elaine earned a BSFS degree, summa cum laude, in International Political Economy and International Development from Georgetown University. Her thesis, which focuses on the impact of government transparency on crisis recovery, has been published in the European Journal of Political Economy.
