1. UNICEF: Children’s Rights in Responsible Investments - How to Integrate Children’s Rights into ESG Stewardship Activities
(Health, Education, and Human Rights Program Webinar)
Thursday, July 13, 11:00 am EDT / 4:00 pm BST

Children make up around 1/3 of the world’s population, but are rarely considered a priority stakeholder group for businesses and investors. In this webinar, UNICEF will share insights on material impacts of business activities on children with country examples. The speakers will also discuss what effective actions businesses can take to mitigate negative effects on children through workplace policies and practices. This should give participants insights into potential stewardship activities to improve early childhood development outcomes – to the benefit of children but also societies and economies at large.

Speakers:

Erik Nyman, Senior Programme Adviser (Children’s Rights and Business), UNICEF

Chris Kip, Global Programme Specialist (Children’s Rights and Business), UNICEF

Uwe Schillhorn, Director, Health, Education and Human Rights Program, EMIA (moderator)

RECORDINGS OF PRIOR WEBINARS

1. EMIA's Enhanced Labeled Bonds Campaign - Working to Raise the Standards in Labeled Bond Issuance (ESG Initiative Webinar), held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023

EMIA's Labeled Bond Standards (ELBS) provide guidelines for market practices that aim to make a meaningful contribution to improving the credibility of ESG debt and the impact of the financing. EMIA’s Working Group on Labeled Bonds developed them in consultation with stakeholders across the emerging market community. The standards encourage an elevated level of transparency and more stringent terms and conditions in new ESG-related bonds.

In this webinar, EMIA's Enhanced Labeled Bonds Campaign Director, Eva Sanchez-Ampudia, discussed the ELBS campaign and its next steps with Itaú BBA's Luiza Dias Lopes Vasconcellos.
